The Halos is a 2-3 person geodesic tent with poles on the outside. That means that you can put up the whole tent at once (the inner tent is hung inside). The three poles cross at the upper roof area. One of the intersections is higher than the others, which allows rainwater to drain off and provides exceptional stability against the wind. Two of the three poles are attached with pole sleeves on the upper roof only and with clips at the lower area, which makes setup considerably easier.
The fly sheet has five sealable apex ventilation flaps. The front larger vestibule has an additional arched pole, and when opened, the door can be hung up with two separate poles. The smaller rear vestibule is simply pulled taut with a stake. The inner tent is designed to allow enough space for three standard thermomats (sleeping mats) (183 X 53 cm), with additional space at the head and feet areas for gear. The inner tent has 12 pockets to stash stuff. Both of the doors on the inner tent are D-shaped, and made half of mosquito mesh. Due to the steep walls, the Halos has an effective length of 220 cm. Are you searching for a tent to take on long trips up mountains and along valleys, through wind and rain and snow?
