In a world of challengers, each of the Glacier models sits first among equals. Developed specifically to be best in class they offer true all-round performance and protection for unreliable conditions. Whether you are on a 3-week tent-based trek in the Himalaya, hauling a pulk across the Greenland icecap or mountaineering in the Cascades there is a Glacier bag for almost every mountain and cold weather adventure.
Trapezoid 15:11cm baffles running horizontally throughout the top half of the main body have been combined with slanted box-wall baffles on the underside of the bag to strike a balance between down control, weight and versatility. The all-round focus of this group of bags ensures that both the fill-weights within individual baffles and the down density within individual baffles have each been tailored according to the diverse range of uses these bags will be subjected to. The Expedition model features a higher level of down density overall to mitigate the effects of both down and moisture migration with a near equal 50/50 split in overall fill-weight between the top-half of the bag and the underside, hood and foot piece. Other models have a slightly lower overall down density to provide a better balance of loft, compression and recovery, and their balance of fill weights reflects this, but still with an emphasis on higher down densities in the underside of the bag and foot pieces, and lower down densities in the collar and zip baffle.
